.best domain list
There are 78,200 registrable .best domain names in our data, with 74,933 subdomains under them, in the release updated 16 October 2026 — names only, as historical observations, not proof that a name resolves or is in use today.
.best ranks 139 of 1,339 top-level domains in this release by number of registrable domains. The subdomain file has 1.0 .best names for each registrable .best domain in the domain file, against 4.0 across all top-level domains. This is a ratio of file rows, not a typical count for one site: many domains have no subdomains in the file.
.best public suffixes
Registrable names are counted under their public suffix: the TLD itself or a second-level suffix such as a country's commercial or academic zone.
All 78,200 registrable .best names in this release sit directly under best, with no second-level suffix.
Name structure, subdomain depth and naming patterns are shown for the larger TLDs, for example .com and .uk. The article on how subdomains are spread covers the whole release.
Getting only .best
The release is sold as two complete files covering every TLD in it, not as per-TLD lists. To keep only .best, filter the files you download, for example:
zgrep -E '\.best$' getdomainlists-2026-10-16-domains.txt.gz > best-domains.txt zgrep -E '\.best$' getdomainlists-2026-10-16-subdomains.txt.gz > best-subdomains.txt
Try the format first with the free 1,000-name samples. Both full files are $9 once, with 30 days to download.
Limits
- Historical observations collected up to this release (updated 16 October 2026); not proof that a name is registered, resolves or is in use today.
- Coverage is incomplete and uneven; these counts describe this release, not the whole .best namespace.
- Names only: no owner, contact, hosting or registration-date data.
