There are 8,778,981 registrable .de domain names in our data, with 20,832,935 subdomains under them, in the release updated 16 October 2026 — names only, as historical observations, not proof that a name resolves or is in use today.
The subdomain file has 2.4 .de names for each registrable .de domain in the domain file, against 4.0 across all top-level domains. This is a ratio of file rows, not a typical count for one site: many domains have no subdomains in the file. The most common tracked leftmost label is www (7,955,761 names, 38.2% of .de subdomains).

Getting only .de
The release is sold as two complete files covering every TLD in it, not as per-TLD lists. To keep only .de, filter the files you download, for example:

- Coverage is incomplete and uneven; these counts describe this release, not the whole .de namespace.
